Project-1: Collage

Project Description and Requirement:
- Create a series of two animations, with two or more scenes, that work together as a single time-based piece, visually combining and animating both illustrated elements and type.
- Use collage, a “kitchen sink” style, to play an experimental game. It may involve throwing everything into the kitchen sink.
- Flow entire animation smoothly and seamlessly from frame to frame, from scene to scene.
- Dealing mostly with solid colors, the illustrated elements are based out of vector components from Illustrator or Flash.
Project Theme: Any theme that interests you
The goals of this project are:
- To create communication that explores the possibilities of space, taking into account how we see
- To use vector-based graphic symbols and iconic elements as primary communicators
- to consider how we insert and organize type communication
- To explore zones that communicate to the user areas where animation happen

Conclusion:
To create an illustration of a movement is simple, but to give life to a movement requires much sensibility, inquisitiveness, hard work, and perseverance. This project not only aim toward teaching specific techniques but acts as a springboard to further explorations, to inspire students to have broad views, encouraging students to find their way to creative expression through the medium of animation.
