Study Abroad Asia Summer Program is a crucial part of a well-rounded undergraduate education. My efforts in association with The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley’s Office of Global Engagement (OGE) and Office of International Exchange in other Asian Universities, are to lead UTRGV students to China and Japan, to join a multi-week summer trip in Beijing, Shanghai, Tokyo, and Osaka. The Program currently provides ARTS-4337 Digital Photography through the trip, and an internship opportunity in several world leading advertising agencies Asia branches, as well as a couple of courses such as CHIN-1101 Beginning Chinese and CNMA-1101 Martial Art in UTRGV's partner institution Shanghai University's downtown campus every summer. In the near future, the Program will extend the culture exploration and Graphic Design studies in other Asia countries such as South Korea as well.
