2. Not Your Typical Graphic Design History: Part One
This is not a typical history of design survey course. All of the materials will come from the vast collection of design ephemera at the Herb Lubalin Study Center and other collections. The five two-hour-long classes will meet on Monday evenings, and cover evolution of the magazine; evolution of the poster; evolution of advertising; evolution of the book; evolution of branding/corporate identity. Think of this as a rare chance to see and touch all those famous pieces of design you once saw in books or online.
