MEMBERSHIP

AIGA, the professional association for design, represents more than 22,000 designers through national activities and local programs developed by 66 chapters and 240 student groups. AIGA has been advancing the value of design since 1914, acting as the collective voice of the profession and providing numerous resources to members.

As an AIGA member, your dues support the National organization in New York, while also providing resources for the local San Francisco chapter. Those resources are used to leverage private and corporate sponsorships for events, programs and scholarships.

The San Francisco chapter of AIGA is one of the largest, most active and exciting chapters in the country. With many events and programs on diverse topics there is no reason not to join.

Membership within the Truman State University AIGA falls under two categories:

National | $90 Dues

Local | $45 Dues

MEMBERSHIP STATUS AFTER GRADUATION

Membership after your years as a student doesn't have to end There are several membership options for designers that still want to contribute to AIGA. About half of AIGA’s funding comes directly from membership dues, so the participation of every member really counts and makes everything we do possible. And in turn, every participation level offers members not only a vast range of tangible benefits but some intangible ones as well – which can be some of the most meaningful aspects of being an AIGA member.

Contributing | $50/Year

If you’re a design fan or current student without a local chapter who wants to support the design profession and what AIGA is doing, this is a great membership level to begin with.

Supporting | $150/Year

If you’re a junior designer with a few years of experience, a dedicated fan, or an educator with limited means, this membership level may be right for you.

Sustaining | $250/Year

You’ve been at it for a while, are committed to your role as a designer, and you’d like to invest in the future of the design profession in a more substantial way. This is the level for you.

Leader | $500/Year

You’ve earned your place as a leader of the design profession and are serious about your commitment to the growth of design.

AIGA forward.

Trustee | $2,500/Year

You are a titan of the design industry and a true inspiration to all of us. Show your commitment to AIGA and everything that we stand for in the most profound way.
