Key Concept:
Horizon | Vanishing Point | Eye Level
The horizon (or skyline) is the apparent line that separates earth from sky.
The horizon is shown by a straight line across your drawing.
Eye Level: The eye level is level with the eye.
• Eye level above the object
• Eye level below the object
• One-point Perspective-1 | 2
• Two-point Perspective-1 | 2
• Three-point Perspective
In perspective drawing, the horizon also happens to be the viewer’s eye-level. In art, we tend to use the term ‘eye level’, rather than ‘horizon’, the horizon is frequently hidden by walls, buildings, trees, mountains, hills, etc.
• Parallel lines and one point perspective
Parallel lines are two or more lines extend in the same direction and remain the same distance apart.
Problem : Finding the vanishing point and the eye level.
