Hello everyone,

ARTS-4339 students: Tomorrow (Tuesday, 10/14), I will be in my office at 10:00 a.m. to approve last-minute senior projects. No portfolio class tomorrow and Thursday.

ARTS-4396 students: If you need an in-person meeting for any urgent matter, please let me know a time that works for you on Thursday, Friday, or over the weekend. You may also reach out to me through my personal email address pxstudio@gmail.com for a short-notice arrangement. You also need to submit your Project-1 folder zip file with the file name john-doe_p1.zip by 11:59 p.m. October 20.

  • Wednesday (10/15) class: Bring your portfolio folder and any printed pieces, if available.
  • Thursday (10/16) portfolio class: Except for the two “portfolio-only” students (who can meet me during office hour 1:00–2:00 p.m.), students from both portfolio and capstone class can use the class to pick up their printed exhibition poster or prepare work for the show.
  • Exhibition installation: Begins 9:00 a.m., Monday, 10/20.

Printing note for ARTS-4396 students: I was told that CopyZone has white foam board only. Regardless of whether you use black or white foam board, be consistent for all pieces. It is professional to have the print shop finalize everything for you.

If your portfolio is complete in InDesign, save it in facing-page and single-page formats. Upload the single-page PDF to Heyzine to generate an e-flipbook, and include its QR code in your PDF portfolio as an online option.
