Course Description:
A-420 VisComm III-WEB DESIGN is for an intermediate to advanced level Visual Communication course in web media graphics and architecture. Web layout and motion applications are used to explore design structure navigation aesthetics strategy concept and project planning with an emphasis on the user experience. The course is a three credit hours studio class. The lectures and demonstrations will focus on HTML5 code, Dreamweaver CS6 techniques, advanced CSS web page design and web site construction, and JavaScript application.
Student Learning Outcomes:
- Get a foundation for understanding HTML and CSS
- Learn about HTML tags, attributes, semantics and page building
- Learn about CSS syntax, values, selectors and properties
- Learn about web design software and techniques
- Learn JavaScript and jQuery
