Dear Students,

If you see your work listed below with the information block displayed in green, congratulations! Your graphic design work has been selected for submission to the ADDY Award 2024-2025 Competition by the faculty on your behalf. We’re excited to share that the entry fee for each sponsored work will be covered by the UTRGV School of Art & Design.

To ensure that you have all the essential details for this year’s ADDY entries, kindly review the student rules and categories provided in the following link: https://bit.ly/46H6rNJ. Please make sure to submit your works under the appropriate categories to ensure accurate identification.

This year, the AAF-RGV local ADDY club has increased the entry fee by $1, making it $30 for either a single entry or a campaign. This adjustment allows the club to advance gold student award-winning entries to the District 10 regional competition after the local contest.

Please ensure strict adherence to all online submission guidelines within the entry system to guarantee the proper representation of your work throughout all three tiers of the American Advertising Awards competition.

For magazines or multiple-page publications like book design or brochure design, kindly submit a link created via heyzine.com. This elegant platform allows judges to view the magazine in context through the internet.

In the case of UI/UX designs, keep in mind the virtual judging aspect. Provide a video of the pages along with a .pdf to help judges better appreciate the design in action.

The American Advertising Awards, the home of the ADDY® Award, stands as one of the industry’s largest creative competitions, attracting nearly 30,000 professional and student entries annually. The mission is to recognize and reward the creative spirit of excellence in advertising.

Conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation (AAF), the local Ad Club phase serves as the first step in a three-tier, national competition. Local ADDY winners then compete at the district level, and district winners proceed to the national stage of the American Advertising Awards.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out.

Best of luck with your submissions!

  1. All entries must be digital. Physical submissions will not be accepted.
  2. Do not submit an online copy or link with any personal identification.
For example. If you submit a digital copy (.jpg) of your work, do not say you have an online component, too if that is only going to be exactly the same static image. Further, the links often are to the student’s portfolios and all their other work is there and their names. The only time online/web based things should be included is if it is interactive or video or animation.
  3. Only links that do not reveal your personal identification may be provided.
  4. If your layout includes a QR code that links to your Behance or other social media profiles, ensure no personal identification is accessible. To maintain an unbiased judging process, follow these recommendations for interactive entries:
Profile Image: Temporarily replace your profile image with a generic one. You may revert to your original image after June 30, 2025.
Account Name: Change your Behance account name to a nickname that does not reveal your real name. Restore your actual name after June 30, 2025.
Project Title: Avoid using real names in project titles to prevent personal identification in URLs. Entries with identifiable names may be disqualified.
