Westminster Abbey, located in the heart of London, is one of the United Kingdom’s most notable religious buildings. With origins dating back to the 10th century, the abbey has played a pivotal role in the nation’s history. It is an architectural masterpiece of Gothic design and has been the traditional site for coronations and burials of British monarchs. The abbey is also renowned for its Poets’ Corner, where many famous British writers, poets, and playwrights are commemorated. Today, Westminster Abbey continues to be a place of worship, a site of significant historical events, and a popular tourist attraction.
