Designers are, in essence, creators and innovators. They are not just individuals with artistic flair but also skilled makers who delve into materials and processes to craft suitable solutions for specific purposes. Their mission is to revamp all goods and services, making them not only better but also more essential and comfortable in our lives. If you look around, it’s evident that numerous objects and services are in dire need of design upgrades. Let’s collaborate to discover fitting solutions!

For those keen on showcasing their design prowess on an international stage, we invite you to explore the details below on participating in a design competition in South Korea. If you possess confidence in your work, UDA cextends a warm welcome to submit your projects. Should you have any queries or require guidance on your submission, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at ping.xu@utrgv.edu.

To submit your work to UDA, kindly email your project as a zip file directly to their designated address, ensuring that the file size remains under 20 MB. We recommend that you also copy us on the submission email to avail of the opportunity for UDA to waive any entry fees. In case your zip file exceeds the 20 MB limit, you can alternatively send it to UDA using the platform of wetransfer.com.

If you send your project via wetransfer.com, please

  1. send an email to UDA first to explain that you are my student and you will send your zip file of the project files to UDA for your submission right after your email.
  2. attach your entry form’s excel file in the email and copy (cc) the email to me when sending the email to UDA.
  3. ask UDA to confirm you after they receive the zip file of your submission.

UDA will download the zip file shortly, but I will follow up to urge them to download the submission file one on one before the expiration date of the wetransfer file.
Cheers,
Ping Xu
