Preparing your online classes by using Adobe CC, Blackboard, and Zoom | Spring 2020

Posted by: Ping

Dear students,

Due to the campus closures, we will begin our online classes next week. To ensure that you could use Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, and XD) from home, I have contacted UTRGV IT service, and received their response about how to use Adobe CC from home this afternoon. Please check the following links below:

Adobe is making temporary at-home access to Creative Cloud available until May 31, 2020 for schools and colleges who currently have only lab access for students, at no additional cost.

If you don’t have a personal computer at home, you can come to Annex building to work your projects in the EVABL 1.226, the only open Mac lab in the Visual Art Building (8:00 AM – 10:00 PM) Monday through Friday. When you use the lab, please remember to keep minimum 6 feet social distancing from others.

To prepare your class, it’s time to get familiar with Blackboard and Zoom if you don’t use them before.

I will create a Zoom link for each of our classes over the weekend, and will email you the link of zoom meeting before the meeting time of every class. See you next Tuesday through Zoom.

Thanks for your patience, and please be safe!!
