For presenting a PowerPoint slideshow, you need make sure to work your every image on a right format and a right size.

  • Save your PowerPoint Slide images as jpg, gif, or png.
  • Save every slideshow image to 150 dpi.
  • Insert images that fill the slide, the image size (in pixels) should be equal to the screen’s resolution.
For example, if your screen resolution is set to 1024 × 768, that’s the size you want your full-slide images to be. If the image occupies only half the width and half the height of the slide, it should be 512 pixels wide, and 384 pixels high.
  • Save a high quality image at several resolutions, then you’ll quickly get a feel for what works best. Just don’t go overboard as the higher the resolution, the larger the image files; the larger the image files, the larger your PowerPoint files will become, and the slower the images will display. You want your images to be just big enough to look good and not a pixel bigger.
  • Avoid to use any clip art element.
  • Put a YouTube video into your PowerPoint:
