EPSON 4880
– 17 inches max width – EPSON paper only – sheet-fed
EPSON 7900
– 24 inches max width – EPSON roll paper
– LEAVE THIS PRINTER TURNED ON AT ALL TIMES.
This will prevent the print heads from clogging so much

  • Print Monitors should sign-up for at least 5 hours of printing a week
(one hour minimum scheduled for the weekend)
  • DO NOT overlap with any other Print Monitor on the work schedule. Space out the number of printing opportunities throughout the week.
  • The first Print Monitor for the night should run a small test print to check for plugged nozzles print quality. If quality issues arise, run the appropriate printer utility (in the dock) to resolve the problem.
  • Always check the Large Format Print Jobs Sign-up sheet outside OP1222 and print as much as you can during your scheduled time. Print the earliest submissions first. Do feel obligated to print any longer than your scheduled time.
  • Print only the jobs that are correctly set-up in .pdf format and have the work order correctly filled out and an attached print receipt.
  • Leave the Mac Mini CPU turned on at all times
    – You can log off and the job submission folder is still available for students to submit print jobs.
    – Always log off of the computer when/if the computer is unattended.
  • Deduct whatever printing costs are associated with the print job from the submitted print receipt. Turn in the receipts to Professor Nelson (under his door) when the receipt reaches zero. Return the receipt to the student with the printed/completed print job if there is remaining money after printing.
  • Sheet-fed paper should be submitted with the work order and print receipt.
  • Roll-fed jobs to the EPSON 7900 – the paper is supplied.
  • Before leaving, every print monitor is expected to hand over student’s request to next working shift taker.
