Downtown Seattle has a very dynamic nightlife with hundreds of unique and bars and clubs to choose from. Kell's has more of a friendly college and young professional patronage and is a must see if you're planning on spending time going out in the area. Plan on going to Kell's Irish Pub Saturday night for live Irish Music and dancing before heading up the street to Bell Town's trendy club scene.
Capitol Hill, an extension of downtown Seattle that begins just after crossing to the other side of the I5 freeway, has a completely different feel than the trendy downtown area. The creative culture and "hipster" vibe of the residents of Capitol Hill give its bars and clubs their own style. Capitol Hill is where you're going to hear good local music, visit your uncharacteristic neighborhood club, or just find the bar that suits your particular lifestyle.
