Dear students,
I have received some students emails about using computer lab when the campus closures. Please see the email message from the Dean Office for your information. I am contacting our GD program coordinator and School of Art director to ask when the 1.226 could be ready for students to access the lab.
About enabling student access to Adobe Creative Cloud during COVID-19 campus closures, please check the Adobe website for more information.
https://helpx.adobe.com/enterprise/kb/covid-19-education-labs.html. Adobe is making temporary at-home access to Creative Cloud available until May 31, 2020 for schools and colleges who currently have only lab access for students, at no additional cost. We’re currently contacting UTRGV IT service and Adobe, and working on this matter to ensure students could use the Adobe CC during this difficult time. We will send the list of all GD students to UTRGV IT admin soon.
After the next week, I will contact you all through the online environment. Please keep our original meeting time on every Tuesday and Thursday by checking emails, blog, blackboard, videos, Flickr, and Behance. I will adjust our project plan soon. No matter you’re a student in the ARTS-3333 or ARTS-4338, you need to set up Zoom meetings or contact your teammates via Skype for completing the group projects.
About the project submissions, let’s drop off the project folder into my pxstudio FTP (online hard drive) in the due day(s) If you can’t access the FTP, you may compress the folder, and send the zip folder to me via wetransfer.com. There is no need to print hard copies for any project in this semester, but you need to complete the digital copy for each (24X36) mockup layout, and complete project documents (InDesign files for the ARTS-3333 class and XD project folder with artboard folder + HTML root folder for the ARTS-4338 class. Any new update about the class, I will keep you informed and posted. Please subscribe my blog and check my email often.
Take care everyone,
Ping Xu
