Passero is a company with one goal: to help you plan your ultimate Rome vacation. Whether you are a first-time traveler or looking for an all inclusive family vacation, Passero is at your service. We offer tools to guide you through the travel planning process or the option of selecting one of our pre-planned package deals that alleviates the stress of planning and gets you on your way all the sooner.
Our Beginning
Passero was founded in 1956 by the Mercutio Fratta family. After immagrating to the United States in 1952, Mr. Fratta recognized the opportunity he had to facilitate eager United States travelers in exploring and discovering the wonder his homeland held. Mr. Fratta wanted to make the planning and arrangement process as easy as possible and started with single travel agency located in San Francisco, California.
Where Are We Now
Obviously a lot has changed since 1956, and the Passero company is no exception. We are now a fully web based Rome travel planning service that offers live support from our headquarter location now in Napa, California. We aim to to do all we can in facilitating your trip to Rome.
Our Name
Passero is the Italian word for sparrow, and the Romans were the first ones to domesticate them as pets. We felt that this name best represents our company for many reasons. We want all our customers to feel as if they are free and open to explore Rome with no limitations, much like a sparrow might spread its wings and fly. We want to ensure that our customers are never restricted or feel that they are restricted to a vacation a company has already pre-set for them. With Passero that is not the case. We orgnaize and plan our vactions around our customers needs and where they want to travel with no boundaries. Spread your wings and let us take you there.
