Beijing, the capital city of China, was the first stop in our trip. We visited Nanluoguxiang, Forbidden City, Great Wall, Summer Palace, Jingshan Park, Olympic Park, and Temple of Heaven during our three days trip in Beijing. After that, we visited Heng Mountain after arriving HYNU, the one of top five most famous mountains in China.

Fortunately, we were allowed to use a well-equipped lighting studio in HYNU’s College of Fine Arts building. During the study week in HYNU, students took 3 hours morning class for learning Photoshop about the skills of image retouching and manipulation, and took about 3-4 hours in the lighting studio to practice the lighting and studio shooting from Monday to Saturday. Students also joined a lecture of Chinese painting, a lecture of Chinese calligraphy, and a performance of Chinese Martial art in the schedule.

Study Abroad China Trip in Guilin & Yangshuo : Summer Minimester ’16

In the final several days of trip, we traveled to Guilin Li River National Park and Yangshuo, visited a Miao village and one of most beautiful geoparks Seven Star Park, took a boat cruise on Li River, and excursed an ancient town Yangshuo. All photos students took during the trip were good sources for them to practice the photography skills, use their photos and finish their assigned projects for the Digital Photography class.
