Cross Connections is an international visual communication juried exhibition and an exchange program held in many countries and different locations.
As a curator and an entrant, I curated and participated Cross Connections International Design Exhibitions 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2012 in six countries and many institutions. As an international exchange event, the visual communication juried exhibitions representd significant overviews of international graphic design trends, featuring work by faculty and students, from eleven institutions that are making their mark in the graphic design field within their respective countries.
The participated universities are: The University of Texas-Arlington; The University of Texas-Pan American; Truman State University; China Central Academy of Fine Arts; China Luxun Academy of Fine Arts; Shanghai University; Sint-Lucas Ghent Belgium; Trier University of Applied Sciences Germany, National School of Fine Arts Mexico, University of Pretoria South Africa, and University of Southern Mississippi.
The exhibitions have been held at UT’s Arlington campus, UTPA’s Edinburg campus, Truman State’s Kirksville campus, CAFA’s Beijing campus, LAFA’s Dalian campus and Shenyang campus, Shanghai University’s main campus, Sint-Lucas’s Ghent campus, UAST's Trier campus, ENAP’s Mexico City campus, and Southern Miss's Hattiesburg campus.
