Hello everyone:

I would like to share with you a link from the Office of International Program & Partnership about the Gilman/Boren workshop registration. They have changed the date from the 29th to December 1st in Edinburg to accommodate a Gilman recipient alumni who can be onsite to share her experience using Gilman to fund her Study Abroad program to Spain. You can use Gilman to fund your China trip as well.

Come learn about the Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship and the Boren Awards, which are venues for funding your Study Abroad goals.

The Gilman Schoalrship is a need based, scholarship available to Pell Grant recipients that funds up to $5,000 per 4 week minimum Study Abroad Program.

The Boren Awards focuses on countries, languages, and fields critical to U.S. national security, recognizing a broad definition that includes traditional concerns of protecting American well-being, as well as challenges of global society, such as sustainable development, environmental issues, disease, migration, and economic competitiveness. Boren Awards can fund up to $20,000 for undergraduates and $24,000 for graduates.
