Blend Modes for Symbols – Flash CS6

1. Convert the instance to a symbol (Movie Clip) 2. In the Properties panel, choose Display, then you will find the blending modes 3. Choose different blending modes to test For example: Screen makes object lighter, and Multiple makes the objects darker. Overlay is another main blending mode.
